Underrated given how many effective black creatures have Swampwalk. Combine with with a Zombie Master to make your army unblockable.

It also messes up their mana curve and gives you an extra turn to build up before facing a Leatherback Baloth.

1 mana, shuts down any problem non-basic land.

Even without swampwalkers, provides at least a temporary solution for things like Inkmoth Nexus, Maze of Ith, Dark Depths, etc.
