@mad theroist: he's talking about phyrexia. The fact he saw the walker instills fear that phyrexia exists.

"Flavor text is awfully over-dramatic for a 0 power creature. Good card tho.

The flavor text is referring to the walker as a herald. Once he saw the walker he started to fear the might of Phyrexia.

This guy, Ornithopter, and Memnite: the holy trinity of 0-drop vanilla artifact creatures. All three are excellent for fueling affinity and other artifact-intensive strategies. Personally, I like this guy the best because he can soak up early damage like a boss (though if your opponent runs a lot of fliers, Ornithopter may be better.)

InQuest magazine rated this as the worst card in Visions. This was the same magazine that rated Dream Halls the worst card in Stronghold.
Unlike the Dream Halls debacle this time they had an excuse for not realizing this card's potential. At the time this was printed there weren't a lot of cards that cared about artifacts, and equipment didn't exist, so they can be forgiven for not seeing the power of a 0 CMC critter right off the bat. They were all like "It's worse than Ornithopter because it doesn't fly!"
Fast forward to Urza's Saga, Tolarian Academy, and suddenly we all learned the power of 0 cost artifacts. Then came Mirroden...and now what was once considered the epitome of crap is getting 4-star ratings. How the times have changed.

Black rain? Metal that screams? Sounds like my Saturday nights.
Also, Mirrodin.

Well what does it do?
Walking Eye!
Well it has a camera, Iris mounted lasers, monkey proof welding, and silent stealth design that makes it perfect for reconnaissance applications.
Walking Eye Hank. They're all the same.

Atog, Ashnod's Altar, and Nantuko Husk all enjoy this card as well as Ornithopter. Artifact fuel go!
