This one doesn't die if your opponent doesn't have any creatures, but why take the risk of thriving them each turn in the first place if you could just choose one of many stronger fatties at that cost?

Very much not worth it. Maybe if it they got to put a +1/+1 on a single creature, or it cost 1 or 2 less...but as it is? No.
