This card comboes well with any pump spell. Pump, then copy, permanent copy of the pumped creature. Even better with +X/+0 pump spells, since you'll get more/cheaper.
Works well with Gruul bloodrush, though the timing makes it risky.

when dragon's maze comes out you will all be first picking this card to go with your naya populate deck.
Attack with creature , blood rush it with gruul card , cast this. spend of the rest of the game populating your massive token.

Flavor is good, but there's limitations. You cannot play this spell without having a creature out first, and it relies heavily on how big that creature is. If you already have a big creature, whether or not you want another one or save the mana to protect it is also debatable, opponent could always destroy that creature in response to remove a legal target.
