Five mana for a best-case 4/6 vigilance?
Not bad, actually.

I know that the "Commandos" in the card stands for commando in plural.
But somehow, when I keep bumping on this card, I read the "Commandos" part with a mexican accent.

The biggest battalion creature we got. I'd be happy to pick it in limited as there are only two white commons with battalion.

A sometimes 4/6 vigilance for 5 mana at common. No complaints here, it's just about right. Not every card can make you feel all fuzzy inside. Remember, the power curve needs to have cards below it as well as above it, and this one is just about right on it.

1.8. Gatherer you are dissapoint. This is not 1.8/5. This is at least a 2.5/5

So it costs five mana for something that is a 4/6 vigilance sometimes in aggro decks which need to be really fast.....

Hmm. You know, I think I can do without this one.

And people say Boros got pampered this time around. Well... it did, actually, but it also got stuff like this.

Maybe you can do something silly with that untap ability?

Oh Siege Mastodon, how far you've fell...

Boros decks in limited are really not looking for a five mana creature that is best-case a 4/6 with vigilance. Orzhov generally isn't, either. If you've got some kind of slow, defensive, grindy Orzhov deck, maybe. But if you're being defensive, how often are you going to activate battalion? Not often, I think. This is definitely not a card I want to find myself using, ever.
