Oddly enough, works well with merfolk:
Fallowsage
Judge of Currents
Merrow Commerce
Surgespanner
Veteran of the Depths
Stonybrook Schoolmaster
A decent effect, but Glare of Subdual came in the same set and is streets ahead.

This card won me the game in modern masters draft, with tons of saprolings you you can tap them with this, sac them with the white fungus and swing for the win, this really shines because you can utilize the tokens that just came out and you can't attack with to tap down fliers and other creatures that are difficult to block.
If you don't feel like going GW fungus in the draft but want to use white, you should be getting every single cloudgoat ranger you can grab and this goes great with him, not to mention cenn's inlistment for when you keep top-decking lands with this guy can lock down a heavy hitter on the enemy team and lets you get past it.

Pretty bad.
Absolutely fantastic art, however.

Why is this in a set called "Modern Masters"?

Would be a decent card for half the cost, there was no need to make it that expensive.
Having three untapped creatures is a huge requirement, at least for tapping another creature.
Looks like Wizards later thought the same in Lorwyn and therefore gave us both Ballynock Trapper and Heritage Druid.

Opposition and Glare of Subdual seem better.

@NuckChorris:
4. Because it's modern.
3. Because only a master can make it work properly.
2. Because I want a playset.
1. Because you suck!
