After a hard day of launching counterspells the Izzet player now gets to sit back and relish the hundreds of chump blockers he or she now possesses. Hope one of those counterspells stopped an Illness in the Ranks.

This is scary; a good effect on an uncommon that synergizes well with burn strategies and aggro. I think that this will see play. Definitely a limited force to be reckoned with. 4.5/5

This is my favorite card of the set, hands down. Great design, perfectly costed and balanced. Art is sick, and so is the flavor text. To anyone who didn't know:

This guy's only an uncommon, but he's one of red's best contenders for the "broken two-drop creature" cycle. (The other colors have Tarmogoyf, Stoneforge Mystic, Snapcaster Mage, and Dark Confidant.)

This is a really nice card, along with Guttersnipe. I don't think he has the raw power to make it into constructed, but he'll definitely be a big thing in many casual Izzet decks.
