I like the deer fighting in the background. First time glancing at the art, I thought the third deer was about to head-butt the tree.
Nobody used these when Visions came out, by the way, and people pointed to them as evidence that Visions sucked. (Which it didn't -- lots of cool cards, like Elephant Grass and Army Ants.)

I have to wonder how many Magic players know that the Karoo is a real place.

Well at least it doesn't eat your Life, deplete your hand, or defile your daughter like most "special" lands. Compared to many its demands are fairly reasonable. Worth playing if you don't have any other lands in your hand and know you're not getting one next turn... It's an investment that pays off quickly enough, but I'm sure there are much better ways to get extra mana. PS - I certainly didn't. Is it a nice place?

strictly worse than any part white ravnica bounceland.
Edit- Ok, thats true nammer. And I guess that option to put it in the graveyard rather than your hand isnt' completely useless, considering if you had say a Terravore in play.

@Kryptnyt: Not true, seeing as how you couldn't use multi-colored bounce lands in a white mono-colored EDH deck.

Bouncelands, take one.

I never cared much for these lands - they're not that different in the long run from basics, and a liability in the short term. With Ravnica, when the new versions could generate two colours and were more flexible in what you could bounce for them, the equivalent lands served a clear purpose. These, not so much.

2 mana for an extra land card is so-so for EDH, but there are better options otherwise. 3 stars.

Decent with untap land effects. Though the ravancia bounce lands are easier to find and usually better.

While you can abuse these with untap effects, the main reason to play the various Karoos is that they help you hit your land drops. This is very valuable to control decks who need to not stutter on their curves.
