Merfolk: The bastardized race of Magic. They're making a comeback though. Coralhelm Commander is sweet!

Why can't we rate a card 0/5?

I'd actually of played this if the ability cost was 1 or less.

Colorless, repeatable "giant growth". I can see why they were worried about making it too cheap. With these costs I think it was safe to make it +3/+3.
I think this card is more about the threat then the actual use. They might not attack/block if your able to pump your creature to a favorable trade.

Card advantage is sometimes in the form of lands. When you have a hand full of lands (such as a large Treasure Hunt) you can use this to non-randomly (essentially) add a good bunch of damage.
The issue is that this is a dead card:
-In multiples
-When you have no such advantage
-When you have no creatures
-When you don't have enough mana to pump your creatures enough to compete
It's also still card disadvantage; although it's virtual card advantage.
