For Fifth Edition, this was a very underrated card. a 2/1 for 3 with landwalk may be mediocre now, but look what we have in our common slots these days. Ulamog's Crusher? Chained Throatseeker? Really?
Admit it. We've been severely spoiled.

A bit costly, Wizards overpriced landwalking early on.

The Lost Soul creature type went the way of Uncle Istvan.

This is the kind of sideboard card that will win the game in a limited environment. Doesn't die to Terror and puts a nice clock on your opponent. Otherwise it's terribad.

Poor, even back in the day. Almost as costly as Bog Wraith, for about half the power and toughness. Or, it's a more expensive, slightly weaker Scathe Zombie with swampwalk. Modern versions are 2/2 creatures for 2B with swampwalk, which is fair... and even then, they aren't great.
