Love this creature's art, and love the flavour text. It's far from amazing, these days, but as holgir says, it's a classic - and by my estimation, there's nothing really "wrong" with it.

This is a bench mark for creatures. The mana cost and color fit the card very well. It has classic form and function, and is well rounded... Now having said that their is nothing amazing about this card. It defines basic... With this understanding of creatures you will see why people complain and why people talk trash about cards that do less for more...
