What about City of Brass? Or Pillar of the Paruns or Ancient Ziggurat or Thran Quarry, depending on the deck. Even Rupture Spire is better. My personal favorite is Glimmervoid, but there's plenty of options. This one is just really slow. I wouldn't use it.

Would have been a lot more usable as an artifact.

I have one question that bothers the living daylights outta me:
What does the "Tap: Add 1 to your mana pool." actually mean?
do I add 1 color of mana to my mana pool? or do I add a "1 land counter" to my mana pool which substitutes for a land until i use it?
This confuses me because I am given the option to either (from my understanding) add 1 mana of any color to my mana pool, or wait a turn and then "add one mana of any color to your mana pool"

this card is also very usefull for cards that allow you to take control of your opponants creatures..say with a Soul colletor..because you will have the mana for any specials the creatures may have i rate this card a 5 ..its hard to find a card to add to any deck that will..not can..improve the playability..think if someone turns all your lands to one color ..you can still use the abilities and get the mana you need

It's a nice land, but it would also be sweet as a 2-drop accelerator along the lines of Mind Stone, Fellwar Stone, or Everflowing Chalice.

It's a good card. I can give it to a friend without missing it, and they get something good.
