Classic card, classic ability (like a variant of Penumbra creatures) and classic flavour text. I use "Spiffy" in my day-to-day conversations whenever possible, and this is most of why. 4.5/5

I love me some old-fashioned Wurm death-tokens. Makes me wonder why they didn't make a three-card cycle for Wurmcoil Engine.

in case you couldn't tell that was sarcasm up there. They would have all been 'cool' cards, but also madly overpowered.
I have nostalgia for this card, and I think that the effect is extremely cool. Yes, Mitotic Slime is generally better, but I'm a fan of putting these cool and interesting abilities on an uncommon, and as such this seems fairly well-costed.
Great if you have a way to recur it.
