Ok, question:
I was recently playing a game and got into an argument (scratch that, friendly debate) over this.
I had the classic Lure+Venom combo on a 1/1 creature. My opponent had out 5 creatures including one with first strike.
Ok, so I declare attackers, my 1/1 Lure+Venom and a few others.
He declares blockers...all of his untapped creatures being forced to block my 1/1 Lure+Venom.
His first strike creature kills my 1/1 and it is dead, thus dealing no damage to his creatures. BUT his creatures were all forced to block, thus should be dead from venom correct?
Venom ISN'T Deathtouch, Deathtouch requiring combat damage. Venom is merely blocking creatures...so if his creatures don't deal or aren't dealt damage, but are still declared blockers (due to lure) do they all die?

@Calcheesmo The way the card is worded: Yes, all of your friend's creatures die. No combat damage needs to be dealt; only the "blocked" requirement needs to be met for the Venom to take effect.
