Keep in mind some things:
1. This creature is from Legends originally.
The sets before Legends are: Limited Edition, Unlimited Edition, Arabian Nights Revised Edition, Antiquities, Revised Edition.
----Reduce the Reprints and you are left with Alpha, Arabian Nights, and Antiquities.
2. This creature was *definitely* printed before Polar Kraken saw the light of day, and Polar Kraken in its day was....maybe never directly considered playable by "real" players (Spikes) but it broke a lot of Timmy records!
3. If this creature attacks and your opponent controls an Elder Dragon Legend other than Arcades Sabboth, the dragon will die if it blocks.
Points 1-4 show that being 8 power is quite impressive even if 4 toughness is not as good as, say, Shivan Dragon
4. Artifact creatures made up a higher PERCENT of playable creatures than they do to... (see all)

8 mana for an 8/4 that is lame. Wow. Just wow. Horrible card.

Hard to believe this is a rare. Oh well, it's old. The only use I see for this is maybe in a sunburst deck that needs a heavy hitter or a changeling deck. But even then it's really not worth using.

Nothing about this card makes sense. I don't remember a time when this card was ever playable.
The image shows legionnaire built up like a fall out shelter with all his armor, yet his toughness is only 4. What?
And apparently he's from Ohio and part of some Pac-Man gang. (keep looking, you'll see it)
I just don't get it.
