Nice card, Yeah portal tried to make things simple by not having instants or interrupts so it basically works like an instant dependent on you getting attacked.
But why is the monkey in the robe getting his throat cut ? That art always bothered me.

I think in Portal there were no instants. When a sorcery said you should play it when you're attacked, you just do so. Just read the newest oracle wording to see it's current text. :)

strictly worse than doomblade, but probably very appreciated in block. It's not really bad, it's just there are so many better options that make it obsolete.

This is actually a white mechanic with the dependance on an attack.

Wait... so can you still cast this like a sorcery, or only in the scenario the rule text defined? If it is the latter, then does it matter if it said "Sorcery" or "Instant?"

How can this ever be used? You don't get attacked on your turn...

"destroy noneblack" worst mechanic ever. Against noneblack creatures they're hopelessly undercosted, against black creatures they're dead cards. Like the fact that someone sent an assassin to kill a monkey, so absurd ^^
