Great in any green Tribal deck, I use him in my elf deck.

Instant speed overrun that is only slightly weaker, am I reading this right.

Also, thanks to low cost, he's very easy to play with overrun, +5/+5 together means usually game over in elf deck.
Instant speed gives some defensive potential to the card, too.

He is like a watered down tribal overrun.
Quite a great card really. Elves are very good with this guy on their side.

In an elf deck, I prefer Gempalm Strider. It effectively costs 1 less (3 to morph + 2 to activate vs. 4 to cycle) and it doesn't have to survive burn. Not to mention the card draw.
In a non-elf tribal deck, it might be nice, but unless that other tribe is wizard, Forcemage won't be getting the benefit.

@Ideatog: the thing is this card gives trample. Gempalm Strider does not. It is a good card, but this is more versatile, more splashable, and gives trample to get through chump blockers, making the difference more than worthwhile.

Overrun costs {3}{G}{G}, and gives all of your creatures +3/+3. This costs {4}{G}, and can be spread across two turns, and can be done on your opponent's turn, but only gives +2/+2 to a particular tribe. Why not run both?

Another great card for your bear, rhino, or other obscure tribal deck.

While not as great as overrun, it can't be countered the same way that it can, and if you're running a token deck, it will hardly matter which one you choose. This guy at least can also at least be used as a blocker after it's done its job.
4.5/5
