What i find interesting is that there are two versions in the original portal... This version is for beginners and the other is for people who can't add.

Try these instead: Vines of Vastwood and Groundswell.

The fact it's a sorcery doesn't matter in most stompy decks, or in straightforward green/black creatures and removal decks.

Certainly a solid 2.5

Portal didn't have instants. This probably would have been an instant in any other set.
