Well, nature's certainly better than nothing.

This card actually has quite a few uses -- there's the obvious option of sticking it onto something with trample or the like, but you could also put it onto one of your opponent's early creatures. This means they will think twice about attacking and giving you early mana advantage.
Or, stick it on a bigger creature, and make them again think twice about attacking. Then, when they do attack, you can choose whether or not to let it through (putting it on something with trample and then blocking all but 1 damage each time would be optimal). So, your opponent attacks --> you profit.

This card can be played on your opponents' creatures, and you are still the one who gets to search for the land. I think this card is underrated. Fun with Lone Wolf, among others.

I think it's currently a bit underrated.
This card certainly won't have much use in any deck, but if you focus on cheap creatures which are hardly avoidable for your opponent this can serve as great mana ramp.
It only costs one mana after all, there are more expensive enchantments out there that trigger the same way yet don't even have an effect which can become that useful.

Extra land is rarely useless. And this is cheap enough you can get it out early. It's certainly not tournament worthy, since those are quick formats generally, but it's great for casual or EDH.

Fun in a land deck, but out of it...

its great for landfall decks. use on your creature to pump your landfall enchantments/creatures, or use on an opponent to pump your landfall creature's defenses on a swing.

2-for-1 doesn't apply unless you fail to hit the opponent at least once. therefore:
If you can't hit the opponent at least once you fail.
