I like how before the errata this card was literally unplayable. a sorcery that you can only cast when you're attacked? Ha.

Try Alarum. It can be used any time the creature isn't attacking (which includes your second main phase after it has attacked) and doesn't completely f-up the basic rules of the game.

But does Alarum have a guy blocking a horse's chest with his shield? No it does not. Card gets style points for the art imo.

What little I know about old-school Magic is that 'Sorcery' was the only type of non-permanent spell at first, and they were playable at any time. I just think it's so cool that blockers used to be called interceptors.

Portal had no instants until some were changed in the errata. But even then the rules of the card let you cast as soon as your attacked. This card was never changed to an instant.
