It's mana intensive and you'll be losing good cards, but you're still drawing two cards a pop.

Seems to be a strict multiplayer card for me, for two reasons.
1) Someone might play mass discard. If you have the tome in play, you draw a total of three cards each turn. Sure, one of them lands in the graveyard, still it's a fast way to fill up your hand.
2) Let's say one opponent has an army of creatures in play. Everyone but him wants mass removal to have them dead. You simply point the book at the guy who wants the creatures dead, and if mass removal is one of the top three cards, he'll give you that (and something else). It's fun for multiplayer politics.
It's also not bad if your deck has a graveyard theme of some sorts.
All in all not a great card, but in multiplayer decks, especially graveyard themed ones, with little card draw, it's alright.

Is it just me or is Thran Tome the Weatherlight symbol?
This isn't great but its not terrible
As said, it could be nice in a graveyard themed deck
And maybe could be used with Power Artifact...

I think that as originally printed, this couldn't kill you if activated with a 1- or 2-card library. The current oracle text ("Draw two cards") can.

Ugh. Way to much mana to potentially get two lands.

Needs to activate for less. It's good, but it's not good enough. I like that it costs 4 to play. Books should cost 4 to play. :)

I'm surprised this card used the (now (unfortunately) obsolete) keyword bury in this manner.
I always thought it would only refer to permanents.

Not at all great. 4 mana to have to pay 5 mana for an effect that gives you the two worst cards from the top three is just too slow. If you are trying to draw into your bombs, there is no way your opponent will let you have them. Overall too slow and unreliable for most decks.
