This, Zap and Lava Dart are all awesome for the simple fact that pinging with burn spells is FUN! :D Gotta love the flavor of this card!

Flare, too. I also think this card is underrated right now. 1-mana cycling is fine in red, and the card's ability is als relevant.

The art work says it all. Use it to eliminate that turn one Goblin Lackey in the mirror or cycle it late game. Whatever you desire. :O

Compare Forgotten Cave which has effectively the same cost as this card (it comes in tapped so you lose out on {R} over a regular mountain) and the same cycling cost. Would you rather have a land cycle for {R} or 1 damage? Hmm...
