@djflo - The original art showed the patagia in full form. I guess people didn't realise what it was, so the artists changed it.

An absolutely awful card, one that probably didn't see play in its original printing.
I'm not so sure about limited, though. If it were printed now... Well, let's just say it'd be picked sooner than Rusted Sentinel would.
Also, you can argue that Dancing Scimitar and Primal Clay are better. Just the fact that you don't have to pay to give it flying is enough proof. The added toughness for Scimitar and the utility of Clay is pretty convincing as well (although, Scimitar is a little weaker).
STILL, a 1/5 with flying knows it's place: a great blocker. You don't know what to do with this.
I SUPPOSE you can also argue that Scimitar and Clay were rares, and this has always been uncommon, which makes my argument invalid. That's like comparing Craw Wurm to Vigor: They're in leagues of their own.

not a very good card. 4 mana for a 2/3 that requires 3 mana to givie it flying. however it always makes me feel all warm and fuzy inside because its my first golem.

The art's really awesome, but the card is really sad.

Patagia: A membrane or fold of skin between the forelimbs and hind limbs on each side of a bat or gliding mammal.
This seems like sloppy naming; those are clearly bird wings not attached to any limbs.
