Spanking Rod is better (if not legal.) Wait a sec. It's Rod of Spanking.

not so crap - I used to have that one on fast mana deck on the second turn or so, killing or giving the coup-de-grace to creatures with it. Of course, you'll never see that in a tournament.

One of the cards you don't want to find in the booster pack, no matter which edition. Well, at least the artwork in this version is a nice update of the original.

Wait a second, wait a second. So you're telling me, I give you seven colorless mana, and I get to deal ONE point of damage to a creature OR a player? SIGN ME UP! Mono white burn deck here I come!

Inside Joke: The horns on this rod are a reference to Tim The Enchanter from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, in the early years, Rod of Ruin was nicknamed "Tim On A Stick".
