This guy is not bad. Remember you can sacrifice as many artifacts as you like in response to each activation, making him a costly but effective sweeper in artifact heavy decks.

@OpenSeasonNoobs: May I direct you to rule 112.7a of the Comprehensive Rules:
"Once activated or triggered, an ability exists on the stack independently of its source. Destruction or removal of the source after that time won’t affect the ability. ... if the source is no longer in the zone it’s expected to be in at that time, its last known information is used. The source can still perform the action even though it no longer exists."

@ Holgir: No, you cannot field wipe with this card. Since the card itself is dealing the damage and the first damage resolving off the stack will kill it, the next however many abilities you have sac'd artifacts for will fizzle off the stack since he can't do damage from the graveyard.
However, if you were to use a Mark of Asylum in combination with this card, you can effectively field wipe, but it's going to be far easier to use the common combo with Chain Reaction. But this could end up being cheaper and better themed to a goblin artifact deck if that's what you're going for, in which case I would suggest Sword of the Meek. However, good players will tell you this combo is much better fit to other decks... cough broken thopters cough...
