I really think that they should've made them Legendary or made them come into play tapped.
Or printed lots more artifact destruction in the set. The downside on these lands is that they can be destroyed by artifact destruction, but they really under-printed artifact destruction. They could've reprinted Gorilla Shaman. They could've reprinted Shatterstorm, maybe in green. They could've printed a cycle of 1-cost artifact hate sorceries in each color; red's could've destroyed an artifact if the player controlled 3 or more, blue's could've bounced an artifact, black's could've made each player sacrifice one, et cetera... But they didn't at all, and ended up having to ban half the set.
Don't print rock if you aren't going to print paper...

The lands are rather powerful, but not necessarily broken.
The really broken cards in Ravager affinity were - guess what - the Arcbound Ravager, and the Disciple of the Vault.
However, we likely won't see these lands again in standard.
