By the comments on these cards, it is very, very obvious which commenters were not playing Magic during Mirrodin.

These things look so simple, but are so good. Affinity gets reached twice as quick and they are fuel for the Arcbound Ravager. Just so nice. Also you can use tinker, goblin welder, master transmuter or other cards to utilize them to their fullest.

@ Vinifera7, and apparently many, many other people:
The point of cards like these are that they are MEANT for Artifact decks. The only reason it would ever be a detriment in your strategy is if you're not playing correctly with it, i.e. putting it in a non-artifact deck. There are like forty posts on Tezzeret the Seeker saying that he's only good for artifacts; the point is, he's not for a non-artifact deck. He and cards like the artifact lands, affinity artifacts, etc. would all be pointless in a deck not built to use them. Saying that this card is a detriment in all decks but artifact decks is a pointless statement. It should never come up where this card is not effective in your deck.

"Hey guys, what about artifacts, that are LANDS! Nobody could possibly break that!"

Being an artifact and a land is a double-edged sword. It's good for things with Affinity for Artifacts, but being an artifact makes it more prone to removal. However it can also be tutored with things that put artifacts into play like Tinker and Tezzeret the Seeker. In artifact decks, it's good; otherwise it's only a detriment.

If you're playing Magic, these lands are better than normal lands.

Meh. Doesn't have much point IMO, other than allowing an opponent to destroy it with any card that destroys artifacts OR lands.
