Reach and Flash are indeed very good keywords. but imagine all the blank space there would have been on this card :)
In coresets with reminder text, the text would be longer, adding 2 words and 4 brackets :p

I reckon the earlier definition of Reach is better than the standard definition of Reach, because with the earlier one you could block creatures with abilities like Treetop Scout's ability. Am I right?

This is actually the only Spider that naturally has Flash, so it does have niche in a Spider deck, as a way to activate Arachnus Spinner at instant speed.
