Real solid hitter at the time and without the messing around which hampered many blue creatures of the time.

W-Why is there no drawback on this card....... it's a sea serpent....... with islandwalk....... that costs a ridiculous amount of mana....... but you don't have to sacrifice islands to attack or untap or ANYTHING!? Completely broken.

all things considered, this is actually a decent card... for a blue fattie anyways. 3.5

This artwork is just great!
The idea to change all the artworks in Seventh Edition to me was not so good. I think this cards is one of the best examples.

3 stars. One of the strongest sea serpents that doesn't require your opponent's to have islands to attack. 8 for a 7 power blue creature isn't that bad given the times/creature type. Definately has to be combo'd out with cards like Show and Tell. Beautiful art.

I know it requires you to sacrifice islands somewhere, I just can't seem to find the text saying so. I know it's there!

One of the first large blue water critters that did NOT have a crippling drawback, nor was it islandbound. Not bad for its time - it made a great target to reanimate - though obviously outclassed today.

With all respect to the artist, this art is much better than the other art.
