This plus Krovikan Mist and you can make a tribal Illusion deck.

Might he be useful in a Sliver deck? "All Slivers cost one less to cast" seems pretty useful to me, and they didn't already have their own Warchief.
Plus, of course, he'd also get all the sliver bonuses while his ability is activated, though that might not be so useful with him being tapped.

@Mode
Actually, it's not supposed to be a mox. All of the warchiefs are actually wearing the medallion cycle from tempest, not the mox cycle from alpha. It was a play on a previous card but not the moxes, these creatures don't create mana. It's medallions, which make your spells of the appropriate color cost 1 less.

@Bufzar
Mistform Warchief has an ability that says, "Creature spells you cast that share a creature type with Mistform Warchief cost 1 less to cast."
It doesn't say, "Creature spells cost 1 less to cast for every creature type they share with Mistform Warchief."
His ability is a true or false statement. You will only ever get the discount once.
I always liked the art on this duder. Two headed ghost beast! Sneakin' around in the ol' cotton mill.

Gozer the Gozerian: "Are you a GOD?"
Mistform Warchief: "Uhhhh..." ** "Yeah."
Gozer the Gozerian: "Oh, well, alrighty then. Sorry to have troubled you."
Mistform Warchief: *phew*

Helps in an Illusion tribal with things like Krovikan Mist and Lord of the Unreal.
Also, don't forget that he can change his type every turn. Even if you run a deck with all kinds of creatures, Mistform Warchief can never be irrelevant.

@SpedGuy: This does not make the other player's creature spells cost cheaper. The card states "Creatures spells you play", thus it only works for the controller of this card.

"I find him pretty useful in a changeling zoo deck, especially once you get a runed stalactite on him."
That still only reduces the cost of any creature by one colorless mana. Since changelings are already all illusions, I'm not entirely sure why you're running the Stalactite.

This whole cycle's flavour is that they use the Moxen around their necks ^_^

The worst Warchief of all. Only plus is that it's 1/3 not 1/1.
3/5 since it could be used be all blue decks that concentrate on creature type (Wizards, Merfolk and others)
