This game needs more cards that say THREE GREAT MOUTHFULS OF MERFOLK.

My first big creature, it's made me love wurms ever since. He's been eclipsed now, but he's still cool.
5/5 Artwork & flavortext.

I agree with creepycrawler about the art and flavor, I think this is the best looking wurm...

Sad that this card is worse than Duskdale wurm. I used to love rootbreaker

Huge, tough, and tramply.
Timmy has fond memories.

Yeah, I thought Roobreaker Wurm was pretty fair and balanced. Now, as others have previously mentioned, there's Duskdale Wurm; but also Carnage Wurm.
I know I'm not gonna win any tournaments or anything (I've never entered any and I don't plan to), but I usually just refuse to play with a lot of these newer cards that simply out-print older cards that I thought were (are) perfectly fine, balanced, powerful, and playable. I like some of the new cards and design directions (in particular, I thought the Ravnica and Alara blocks generally brought a lot to the table and added good things to the game); but in general, I say: screw new Magic.
I'd also like to put in a good word for the old Scaled Wurm. I'm actually making room for this guy in some of the decks I've been building recently, even though I have a number of (new) big green creatures that outclass him by quite a bit. The old shit's just more fun a lot of the time.

Wait - Is the wurm helping Gerrard Capashen?
I love the flavor text and artwork, even though there are better, newer cards. 4/5.
