This is useful if your opponent has a pesky utility creature. And a 3/3 for 4 is not really that terrible. But I think that the Armodon is too small, if your opponent decides to block with something else as well; then you end up losing the Armodon. It was probably fine, even great, when it was in Standard, but the times have moved on.

Check Trained Armodon to see what I think of non-trampling elephants.

Part of a vertical (and flavor text!) cycle from Tempest:
Trained Armodon
Trumpeting Armodon
Crazed Armodon
The population goes from 3 types, to 1 in Stronghold:
Endangered Armodon
...and the fate of these elephants is revealed:
Flowstone Mauler
As there are no armodons in Exodus, it's reasonable to assume they were hunted to extinction on Rath.
As for this card itself, Taunting Elf is cheaper and more effective at drawing enemy attention away from your beaters, and you might want something with a bigger body unless you're only using it to kill utility creatures a la Arena. If you have Elephant Graveyard, however, this becomes worth considering.
