it doesn't suck that hard... especially with the new landfall mechanic this might be nice
with Eternity Vessel your opponent will have a hard time killing you
not exactly a brilliant card but it's ok I guess

This card is going to be a star in casual landfall decks.

strip mine was probably a bad example as it's instant speed...

@ Kataklyzmik
Everything combos with Intruder Alarm. Exaggerating with that, but realistically, there are about 1000 cards that combo with it. If a creature has a tap ability, you can combo with it, and sometimes even if it doesn't.
I can't think of anything exciting with this better than burgeoning.

Originally created to ward against armageddon. Better to have some mana after rather than none.
Obviously good in landfall decks since you never have to miss a land drop.
Also good in Land Tax decks, since you eventually come to a point where you have more land than your opponent. Bounce a few of these back to your hand to wring one more round of life out of land tax and get 3 more lands out of your library. It might also have a home in a High Tide or spellshaper deck, where you could conceivable need cards you don't mind discarding more than you need a land.

Aside from the ridiculous landfall interactions this can produce, I've found this card is great for keeping your opponents locked down with a Quicksilver Fountain.
Such a weird card with so many random uses. Great Johnny material. A bit limited beyond that though.

This card works well with Horn of Greed since you will always be able to play a land every turn. It also works well to counter a discard spell or ability.

A pretty good card. It can't bounce on your turn so you can't use it to mana-ramp yourself without an effect like Sakura Tribe Scout (pretty nice combo though). If your not playing many colors (like an artifact deck), this land basically can't get hit by effects like Wasteland, etc... There are better alternatives though (like Darksteel Citadel). But this card can also bounce to be used to suddenly activate effects that require a discard. Since its a land and can be stacked with your other land without many complaints, it VERY hard to notice and can cause many misplays.
