Don't think of it as a possible lightning bolt on a 3/3 body. Think of it as a hill giant that has the potential to not be terrible.

@BlackRednBlue: As long as the 4/4 doesn't have another valid sink for its damage - either because it has Trample or because there's a second creature blocking it - yes.

So you get a Lightning Bolt for free when it dies, but pay 4 for a 3/3. I guess the costs work out to make this about the same, but most people would just take the Bolt over this. Sign of the times, I suppose.

I don't see how this is a LB on a body? Did any of the read the card where it says "If four or more damage was dealt to it this turn."? It either needs to be blocked by a 4/X or some other damage has to be done do it for the damage to come off it.
