eh, the main thing this card has going for it is that I already have one, otherwise I wouldn't even consider using it. as it stands it fills a nice suplimentary role in a certain deck I have that's based on the idea that my opponents wont Want to block my creatures.

It's not bad at all. It kills blockers- that's a good thing in a game where the primary way of winning is by attacking. Also, rat tribal is hilarious.

Looks to me like it's best against 1 toughness Deathtouch shenanigans on defense. Which really is far too narrow an application.

Seems pretty nice to me.
Soften up a blocker before combat resolves, murder a pointless Winged Coatl before it snaps at your Emrakul, things like that.
It would be nice if it had like a 1/2 body or something, though.
And it can rip a Darksteel Myr in two for you, as well. Just run a few of them, and you'll be able to significantly soften up most major threats.
