Ruinblaster is better in mono-red, goblins, and if you have no needed for toughness.
This card has its uses.

Of course people target this with reanimation, it has a powerful effect and is especially good with reveillark.

A similar card that is arguably better is Avalanche Riders. You get an attack out of it too, and you are not limited to nonbasics. Still, this just gets better and better the more and more the game relies on nonbasic lands.

Nobody has ever targeted this creature for reanimation in the history of Magic, ever. Nice try. :)
This is a card you play in social Magic because everybody laughs at it. BABOOOOONS!!!!1! (It gets old after a while. That's why they're 25 cents.)
If you use them to destroy a Treetop Village, you win at everything forever.
