I run it with VeilStone Amulet for a few laughs, of course, if you can't cover thrm, then yeah, it can turn into players attacking each other's mana bases.
I'm tempted to say 4/5, but jeez I love the possibilities, so 5/5

Maybe I could imagine using this with eradicate to kill a basic land and remove all basic lands of that type from opponents library. Apart from that? Hm...

It's... hilarious.
Perma man landing!
With buyback!
Creatures are now irrelevant! (not really but whatever)
4/5, for the awesome!
Also, majinara, you are a terrible, awesome person.

Follow this up with Detention Sphere and you'll get all their lands of that type since only the permanent you target has to be nonland but all permanents that share its name also get exiled nonland or not.
4/5 for me since reusable land destruction with a minor drawback ( or benefit if you want a bear ) is fairly costed at 5 mana

I really like the idea with Eradicate. It also can hold its own to make chumpers while waiting on combo pieces. Just make sure you play with snow covered lands...

Eradicate works, but Detention Sphere doesn't. Even if you turn the land into a creature, it still counts as a land, and the spehere specifically asks for a nonland permanent.
May I suggest Elesh Norn?
