Well, if it used Spore Counters instead it would probably say "When Sporogenesis leaves play, remove all spore counters from all creatures. And this would be a really bad idea when playing with Thallids and or Thallid|Spores (Thelon of Havenwood)Combos :)

Has anyone tried using this with mindbender spores?
You could keep a creature tapped down indefinitely.

Art & flavor. I love infecting my enemies with the spawn of their doom!

This card has built-in Doubling Season. Have two in play, and you get double the Saprolings for each fungus counter.

This would be so much better if it used spore counters.

Re: Mindbender Spores--
And if the victim dies, you get four or more Saprolings!

Unfortunately, this card has a cool concept but is pretty terrible. One 1/1 per turn isn't really that great for 4 mana, and you don't even get them until the creature you put the counters on dies.

I like that it gets exponentially better, since each sporogenesis creates tokens when a creature with spore counters on it dies, no matter where those counters came from.
Assuming you sacrifice a creature or token each turn:
- one sporogenesis: 1 token a turn
- two sporogenesis: 4 tokens a turn
- three sporogenesis: 9 tokens a turn
- four sporogenesis: 16 tokens a turn
