@hoonster the flavor is turning it back into whatever it was and rebuilding/remaking it into an entirely new thing, IE drawing a card.

This card has a lower rating than I would expect. The nice thing about this card is that it can be used for casual play because of the cycling. I would usually take Pillage above this because of it's versatility. This definitely isn't a sideboard worthy card, like Ancient Grudge or Hull Breach, but in casual play when an opponent isn't putting out artifacts, the cycling really comes in handy.

This is better than Shatter and Shatter has been rated about 2,5 in every other incarnation but in (Scars of) Mirrodin where it's 3,5. This should be at least 3,5.

I do not like cycling very much . .
It is cool that it gives option for the players, but I don't see the flavor in it.
Cycling is basically prevalent in all colors and all cycling does exact same thing: draw a card.
(there are few that did something when it was cycled, but cycling ability itself was to draw a card)
Blue cards with cycling should be draw a card.
Red cards with cycling should be more like deal 2 damage to target player.
Green cards with cycling should be more like give +2/+2 or give 1/1 to target player.
I just realized, majority of the time I post comment, I don't really comment about the card . .
In my opinion, this card cost too much for artifact destruction and cycling ability kind of sucks for red and it doesn't really fit red's flavor.
