I bet if this was reprinted today it wouldn't see play outside of Limited formats, but back then it was considered too powerful and wasn't printed in Revised Edition.

Really goes to show how much the ways Magic is played and won have changed. A 2-drop that made a creature a straight-up timer as long as there were no walls and no burn was too powerful and got the axe. Now, we have much better cards that do the exact same thing languishing in bargain bins.
Hard not to get a little nostalgic looking at it.
