check out the flavor texts of both this ansd hand of honor, its great how they define the color.
In my opinion, its not strictly better than black knight but its a nice card, maybe 4 of this plus 4 black knights could make a monowhite cry.

I dont know what everyones beef with the kami block was. Maybe it was One with Nothing that set off the dislike. Every set has weaker cards, and bombs. Kami gave us quite a few bombs, some are still played in legacy today.

Kamigawa was a weird set for sure, but cards like this made it worth it.

@pillow Yeah, but does this guy kill Ball Lightning without even taking damage?

Spectermonger is INCORRECT. Bushido only checks to see if it's blocked or blocking, it doesn't care how many creatures it's in combat with. Without exterior buffs, this creature will NOT get above a 3/3.

I would perfer Bushido than First Strike, but him and black knight are very similar.
However, this guy is cooler because he is a Samurai...with a glowing eye...

This guy is better than Black Knight when he is in combat with creatures with a toughness of 3. Black Knight is better against creatures with a toughness of 2.

jugglingguy has a good point, and he's right: Cruelty and Black Knight are very similar 2/2 for 2 ground creatures with protection from white. I plan on putting two of each in my black deck to defend against my friend's creatures in his UW. With bushido this guy is almost always a 3/3, and with protection he's a steal at only 2 mana. 5/5 for one of my favorite cheap throw-downs.
