But with that combo, you'd lose some of your samurai! Better toss Oathkeeper, Takeno's Daisho in there too. You lose nothing, your samurai get double strike, and this guy gets a permanent boost. Even gets done on a 3/4/5 turn order. All is well.

His armor is actually just made of wood. Maybe by Indebted they just meant poor, and he's looting the bodies of the dead samurai for better gear.

I like the idea of him becoming more and more furious with rage for every killed samurai, but that artwork is just bad. His armour looks like cardboard and his katana looks more like a long sabre.

@Tynasdtm: Nice try justifying Sironos' complaints on the art, but he's indebted to his samurai brethren fallen in battle, and will fulfill that debt by avenging them. Sironos is right about the sword looking like a saber, but I don't mind the armor. And I don't really mind the sword not looking like a Katana either, because he might be a samurai based off of J@panese (stupid super-sensitive censor) history, but he is still from Kamigawa, not J@pan, and thus isn't beholden to using katanas instead of sabers, unless I missed an important detail in the Kamigawa style guide that would suggest otherwise.
As a card, I just love this guy. I enjoy getting rewarded for trading my creatures with my opponents in combat. Like with Landfall, getting rewarded for things that are going to happen anyway is nice.
