This was fun in my Soramaro/Kiyomaro Deck.
With 5 cards in hand you get 10 life, which is pretty ok and doable in control/card draw decks.

Consider Venser's Journal perhaps?
You're likely to get more out of it in the long run, and with only 1 more mana, with no color restrictions.

Kind of a crappy card. Okay 7 cards you can get 14 life, big woop. You just spend 4 mana for a situational fog. I mean you could slip 1 in if you can draw like 20+ cards, but at that point you shouldnt need crap like this.
