After you know your opponent's hand, you'd know what to cast next to make your opponent discard.

I'm surprised no one notice this, but the text reads "target player" so you can target yourself and trigger madness on specific cards. You can also trim useless duplicate cards from your hand to trigger hellbent abilities.

This is best in a spirit and arcane deck, it's very good if you know what's in your opponent's hand and you have a wide cmc range in yours.
It's also very nice because it gives you a lot of knowledge even if you miss, and you might be able to get rid of bombs if you get lucky. I once had my friend discard two overruns and a verdant embrace because i played a 5 cmc creature.

This could easily work. I like it. A 3/3 flyer for CMC 4 is very solid, and it's ability is pretty great.

Looking at putting this in a B/W Haakon deck with a couple of changeling spells. Could turn out to be very nice.

@CeremonialBathory:
Evermind, but you'd have to bend over backwards, and your opponent probably won't have any lands in hand by then.
Maybe Conspiracy + Ornithopter? :-P

Are there any 0 mana cost Arcane or Spirit spells? If not, this card isn't is exciting as it looks.

Solid disruptive card. Similar to Cabal Therapy. If it didn't just trigger off of underwhelming cards overburdened with "Spirit or Arcane" nonsense, this would be Legacy playable.

@CeremonialBathory Dude. Just cast your most common or least casting cost spell first: a 2, 1, or in a pinch 3 cost spell should hit something. And from then on you know what to cast next.
