So it has zero power, so it can't fight of creatures itself, but the fact that he only prevents one damage to each thing, I'm attacked by Inferno Titan I take still take 8. If I'm attacked by a hundred 1/1 tokens, I still take 99 damage.

If it were 1/5 and prevented all damage to one creature, it would be playable.
