Although it's only really good if you build your deck around it, if you do, it's a really powerful card, sometimes dealing over ten damage by itself as an instant for only four mana.

The things I like about this card in the order I discovered them:
The name
The effect
The type
The flavor text
The picture as it relates to the flavor text
The rarity
Yeah, I love this card :D

Its an Instant. That can deal more damage then it's casting cost. To a creature or a player. Yea, it only works in an Arcane deck, but in an Arcane deck it's great.

Very conditional, most decks can not run it, but if you get your spells going fast enough and can keep up the draw then I could imagine this card becoming very powerfull.

Is there any form of this that refers to spirits? It would go great with Iname, Death Aspect

Red Arcane decks, meet your best friend.
Hell, any Arcane decks love this bomb. It's gorgeously designed and outrageously strong in the right hands.

@ DacenOctavio:
Reasons this is better than Scrapyard Salvo:
-It's an instant
-can hit creatures
-it feeds itself: every Ire you have casted before uprise the amount of damages it can deal...
A nice card, I've one of the fools that during Kamigawa used to build Arcane decks, and liked it very much!
4/5

there are not enough good arcane spells to make it playable

Similar to Scrapyard Salvo. Although Salvo is better because it lets you play artifacts rather than. . . arcane cards.

Another situation card that's awesome in decks built for it.
