This is a solid uncommon, but it is smaller than Green should get for this cost and rarity. Compare to some other 7 CMC Wurms:
Strictly worse than Carnage Wurm(uncommon)
Strictly worse than Duskdale Wurm(uncommon)
Probably worse than Havenwood Wurm(common)
Under-powered in comparison to Panglacial Wurm(rare)
Under-powered in comparison to Pelakka Wurm(uncommon)
Strictly worse than Penumbra Wurm(rare)
And some non-wurms at CMC 7:
Strictly worse than Garruk's Horde(rare)
Under-powered in comparison to Moldgraf Monstrosity(rare)
And this absolutely does not consider the creatures that beat it at 6 or less. Like Rampaging Baloths, Primeval Titan, Primalcrux, Terra Stomper and Vigor(all of which are at least rare)

Note that EVERY SINGLE ONE of the creatures mentioned by kiseki was released following Rootbreaker's original release. (For some reason, WotC re-released both Rootbreaker and Scaled Wurm in 9th Edition, well after their initial releases.)
Also, kiseki's normative statement about what Green "should" get can be made only if you're using new or late Magic as the standard for what "should" happen in Magic. Nobody is to say that that is the case.

Underpowered today, but green did not always give you as much bang for your buck mana-wise on big creatures. This should be compared to the Scaled Wurms and Craw Wurms that were around when this was first printed in Tempest. Trample also disappeared for awhile after that, so there was a time when I was using these.

Gotta love that Richard Kane Ferguson art. Was the heavy hitter of my first ever Magic deck, along with Yavimaya Wurm.
