@Paleopaladin First off, that's an awesome username. I think the big reason this card heralds so many jokes is the shear fact of its mediocrity. It just happened to be the card that was so good at being average, it got made fun of. You either call it bad in comparison to utterly horrible cards to get some people to scratch their heads at your comment or you call it amazing for the likewise result. I think the point was simply to confuse and people caught on and spread the confusion.

Wow! Just wow! a card of this magnitude deserves a spot as a 4 of in Vintage. Imagine if you will, turn one land, mox, Crow. Turn two, hit your opponent for one! My god, that puts them on a 20 turn clock, and in Vintage that is absurd! 5 stars!

After I played my Progenitus somebody just had to drop this...my opponent swung and the crow flew right by Progenitus for the win. Just broken...
