I'd use it if it had more than one toughness. :-(
Incidentally, this is now officially the weirdest profanity filter I have ever seen on the Internet.

Anyway, the card is kinda nice. The fact it got given 1 toughness is pretty disheartening, especially since it's presence would keep it at 1 toughness if it was like the "One"s from Onslaught.

Actually, I think he meant Faerie Swarm, which is like Swarm of Rats, except for blue permanents, not just creatures.

it's ok izzet, i own a rat deck to. very useful in my deck but only because it's my only two drop. i would rather have one of my relentless rats any day if I have the mana for them.
and wtf is evryone comparing this to the cloud. ya it's awsome to get something out for free but what does it have to do with this card? maby your sugjesting to lay doun a swamp and an island and play bouth? or what

Haha, Cloud of Faeries? What are you on about? Anyway, this guy's a beatstick in a rat deck...which I'm sure I'm the only person who owns...anyway Marrow-Gnawer works well with this.

Why do you compare things to creatures that are not related such as this to Cloud of Faeries? Not useful. Same casting cost and toughness -- only similarities.

Funny how the highest rated comment, even though it's from 2010, happens to start with "It's ok Izzet",
and we get a strictly better version of this already decent card in Return of Ravnica: Pack Rat.

"Attack!
"chump block"
*dies*
decent discouragement to attack with a big creature though.
