Probably not. Bant doesn't include the color red, so you'd need to find a way to either include Mountains or obtain red mana (Boros Signet, I suppose), But that Rafiq, Of The Many card is better and standard legal, IIRC.

Oh. I'd been wondering why Slayers' Stronghold didn't include a signature Red or White ability like, say double strike.

Now I know. But would a functional reprint have been too terrible?

Might even find use in some exotic bant decks which make use of exhalted.
